AEMRC Preparedness Training Continuing Education Credits

Continuing Education (CE) credits are awarded to health professionals for taking courses and attending training events. Credit hours vary by course and profession. The following is a list of activities that have been approved for CE credit.  ***PLEASE NOTE*** The Online Courses are free to take however there is a $10.00 Administration fee per course or course module to issue CEU or CME credits for them.  After  completing this course and doing the required evaluation and credits form please contact our AEMRC Preparedness Training office at 520-626-9912 to request your CME invoice.

Answering the Call Online and CD: Health & Emergency Medical Preparedness & Response in Arizona 

 ACCME/AMA PRA Accreditation

 The University of Arizona College of Medicine at the Arizona Health Sciences Center is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The University of Arizona College of Medicine at the Arizona Health Sciences Center designates this educational activity for 4.5 (1.0 hour for each module and 0.5 for the post-test) AMA PRA Category 1 Credit. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Nurses and Physican Assistants in AZ should check with their respective boards to confirm that AMA PRA Category 1 Credits can be used toward licensure.

EMS Professionals

The Arizona State Bureau of Emergency Medical Services has accepted the Answering the Call Course for 4.5 (1.0 hour for each module and 0.5 for the post-test) CE hours for EMT-Basics, Intermediates, and Paramedics to apply towards their continuing education requirements in the State of Arizona.

Basic Disaster Life Support (BDLS)  The American Medical Association designates this educational activity for a maximum of 7.5 category 1 credits toward the AMA Physician's Recognition Award. Each physician should claim only those credits that he/she actually spent in the activity. The American Medical Association has determined that physicians not licensed in the US who participate in this activity are eligible for AMA PRA category 1 credit.

EMS professionals
